Licences & Qualifications
A lifetime of learning — brought to every lesson.
Most driving instructors can drive a car. I've piloted planes, ridden motorcycles, navigated watercraft, operated forklifts, and I'm working towards my helicopter licence. Each discipline has sharpened how I perceive risk, react to the unexpected, and communicate under pressure.
As a First Responder and Emergency Services volunteer, I work alongside emergency services in real crisis situations. That experience — reading a scene, staying calm, making critical decisions fast — shapes every lesson I deliver.
And as a lifelong DIY enthusiast, I believe in understanding things from the ground up. You'll leave my lessons knowing why you do what you do — not just how to tick boxes on a test.
What I bring to your lesson
Real experience. Real empathy. A genuine investment in your success.
Safety is Non-Negotiable
As a First Responder and Emergency Services volunteer, I've seen what happens when things go wrong on the road. Every lesson is built around situational awareness, hazard perception, and the skills that keep you safe long after your test.
Cross-Discipline Knowledge
Piloting an aircraft or navigating a boat teaches you to read your environment and make split-second decisions — skills I translate directly into your driving lessons.
The DIY Mindset
I believe in understanding *why* things work, not just following rules. I'll explain the physics, the risks, and the techniques so you build genuine confidence — not just test-day muscle memory.
Everyone Belongs on the Road
I've taught learners young and old, from every background — including LGBTQ+ students and those with special needs such as autism spectrum or low hearing. My lessons are patient, adaptable, and judgment-free.
Every learner deserves a great instructor.
I've had the privilege of teaching an incredibly diverse range of students. Whether you're 17 or 70, navigating nerves or navigating a diagnosis — I adapt my style to suit you, not the other way around.
My classroom is judgment-free. Your pace is the right pace.
